I am glad to see this tread finally started...I would prefer as the rest of you, that this thread not be needed!!

The title Never Forget is a good choice!! I feel we should never forget those people that have been apart of and touched our lives!!!

Jerry was definitely one of those people! I first met Jerry about 5yrs ago and from the first time we met til the last time we set around the campfire that he so loved, he treated me the same each time...like family!!!
I will never forget the times we shared on the trails and the friendship that he shared with me!!

I miss you my Friend!!

It is such a loss for all of us that Jerry has moved on to ride better trails. My first trip to Evarts was Memorial Day weekend, 2008. I had read on the internet about the club, the camp fire, the guided rides, and the friendly club members. On my first visit to the camp fire, Jerry was the first one to welcome me and my group and he led the off park ride the next day. I don't remember where we went but it was a fun ride with great people. On my other visits to the camp fire I always looked for Jerry. I knew he would be planning a ride for the next day or he would know who was. It is people like Jerry that make people like me feel at home in Evarts and keep us coming back. I'll miss you Jerry.

Jerry

Postby Donna Guthrie » Sat Mar 06, 2010 9:42 am

I had known Jerry White as far back as I can remember, but never really knew him until we all started spending time together at the North Evarts RV Park. I am so glad I got to know Jerry White!!!! He is missed each and every day by Jerry and I, as well as other's who expect him to be there with us at the Park. Jerry White made the Ridge Runners......He was a club in himself....

At the benefit ride today Dudley said that in order to have friends you have to show yourself to be friendly. I never exactly heard it said that way. But boy that really nails it. Jerry showed himself to be friendly to everyone he crossed paths with. That's why so many of us think he was our special friend.......... and he was.....

It is hard to believe it has already been a year since our Friend Jerry White was called away from us, to spend Eternity in the presents of our Lord and the Heavenly Host of angels he is now a part of.

I think of you often my friend and like many others miss you around the campfire and on the trail!!

You will never be Forgotten!!!

Until we meet again!!

I have been gone from 4 wheeling some time now, and I am saddened to hear about Jerry's passing.
I stayed in Jerry's cabin in his backyard the last ride I did (New Years 2008)? And used one of his 4 wheelers.
As with many in Evarts,Jerry was a good friend ... always lending a hand even tho he had a business to run.
They dont come any better than Jerry and I will miss but never forget my Evarts friend.
If you pack it in ... pack it out !!!
Help keep the trails clear of litter.

Man, you all just had to make me tear up and get misty eyed....... seriously I agree 100% Time flies and I still feel a loss for him. I really liked to talking to him whenever I was down. I love Carl H's stories about him............he really has some good ones.
