Haunted Forest Ride - Oct 19-21 - live music from Colt Ford

What’s up everyone! I wanted to drop by and fill everyone in on this year Haunted Forest Ride, which is slated for Oct 19-21 at Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park just east of Pineville, KY. The event has grown tremendously, with approximately 5,000 people at last year’s event. This year, we’re blowing the doors off this thing with an epicly huge event that everyone can enjoy. Brian Fisher of Fisher’s ATV World is back again to hang out with fans and get lots of amazing footage for his show on the Outdoor Channel. This year’s event will feature a huge concert that will rock the crowd with a heavy dose of country swag from Mr. Colt Ford! The concert is optional and tickets (in form of wristbands) will also serve as a VIP access to the Haunted Trail: people who have them will be able to go through the trail first. Plus, we just got a grant from Yamaha to make tons of killer new wooded trails all over Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park this summer and we will be making their official grand opening at the event.

The Holler Crawlers have been working and planning for months about this year’s event, and we are confident it’s going to blow everyone away. We have a ton of things slated for the event; including past favorites such as live music, kid’s event area, rock crawling demos, vendors row, ATV costume contest, ATV Prize Raffle, Poker Run, guided ATV rides, and of course the Haunted ATV Trail with all new scenes (Saturday only). Plus, we will have new features such as the grand opening of lots of new wooded trails, mud drags, a ghost walking tour, and two world record attempts: Most ATVs in a Parade and Most UTVs in a Parade.

We want all clubs to band together to help break this record and we plan on honoring all clubs and all people who participate in helping us bring the records back to Kentucky and Appalachia. If we are successful in the record attempts, we will have a sign erected at the main trail head to commemorate every club and every individual who participated. Clubs who bring 5-9 people will have their logo near the bottom of the sign, clubs with 10-19 members who participate will get a medium size logo in the middle, and clubs who bring 20 or more get a large logo at the top of the sign. Underneath the logos we will have the names of every participant for both records. This is our way of saying that its not just about our club; this record is about all our friends in other clubs and saying thanks to them and to everyone who came and participated. Please come and wear your club shirts to the event. We plan on getting many aerial videos and photos that will be seen on the Outdoor Channel and in national publications.

I know the Ridge Runners were the originiators of this record. Its been in Minnesota and Utah for several years now, and we want to do our part to bring it back to our neck of the woods! You can bet that the Ridge Runner logo will be at the top of the sign that we will put up if we are able to break if yall can help...I hope no one takes offense in us attempting it...this isnt about the Holler Crawlers breaking the record...its about bringing this record back to where it belongs...to southeast Kentucky. And this event will bring thousands of people in, so what better time to try and break it?

The event is free of charge, as is riding on Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park. The only features of the event that cost are the concert ($15...tickets available at http://www.wildernesstrailoffroadpark.net), the Poker Run, and purchasing raffle tickets for the ATV prize raffle. Hope to see everyone down here on Oct 19-21!

Any questions, email us at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com

Thanks guys and gals. Hope to see a bunch of RR down here!

Jon I for one hope it does come back to E.Ky and I know for SURE if not for a last min. surge from Bell Co. and Va. we would not have set the record that day...Harlan Co. had plenty of offers to go after the record again..alas it did not happen..I hope that all the clubs/counties can bring it back home.

Also I told the board about your invite to bring the portable zip line down and along with the standing invite to all clubs..set up a table and pass out info...not heard from the board as they have not met this month I am told.
Thanks for the post.

Thanks Bell...yeah we want to bring that record back to southeast KY where it belongs. And when we errect that sign after we break it (cross fingers) to pay homage to those who helped us...I hope the first two logos are the HC and RR logos.

Hope a bunch of yall will come. Its looking to be a great time!

Weve sold concert tickets already to folks as far away as Texas, Minnesota, Louisiana and more. Hoping for a big crowd!
