black mtn play area

Postby hobbz » Fri Apr 27, 2012 6:05 pm

Our club, redneckridgeriders.com is having our spring ride a black mtn next weekend and we are meeting at the playground, but it isn't on the map, so I was hoping someone could give me directions to it from both trailheads.

Thanks and hope to see you all out there

What they call the playground is where trails 15,20 and 45 come together.

Ride safe and enjoy, on the map it should have been listed as Middle Fork Playground.

One more question, we have a group of us that love mud. What trails have the best mud? We are running 28-30s with 6"+ lifts on rzrs.

Usually trail 25 and 30 plus there is always the soup bowl around 2 point, Gobblers Knob on the map I do believe.

Some of our guys are arriving today, and one is already there. Top Dog Outfitter will be there sometime this evening too.

I am sure if you all rode over to the putney trailhead, that you could persuade them into riding with you guys today

Yeah we had a great time. We ended up with over 40 atvs there. Man, that mud hole on 25 was a killer. A rzr4 hit it first and was able to back out. Then an XP hit is and was able to back out. Then a rzr with a +6lt+6lift hit is and he got stuck. Burnt one winch up and melted the post on the battery.

The soup bowl was fun. 3 or 4 when in a few feet and then backed out. I was the first one to go thru it and then everyone decided to try it. Even a couple quads hit it. One of them ended up with the 250 on its side and the rider in the water...lol

We all had a great time and will be back for sure.

If you want to see the vids, just search redneck ridge riders on youtube.
