Harlan County Outdoor Board

Looks like they are real close to the Zip Line, if so construction could begin 1st week of July. A price of 80.00 per zip was talked about..TALKED ABOUT ONLY..not set in stone.

It was good to see 2 members of the board at the East Ky Regional Trails System meeting on Wed. I hope to see them more often and can expand the 1st large ATV park in E.Ky.

Thanks Preston.

The price isn't set yet at all as the individual board members still seem to have their own ideas as to a price and they haven't brought it to a meeting so far. The next time the board meets they will hopefully set a price as well as a name for the zipline and an opening date. That will probably happen in the next two weeks. In the meantime please feel free to make suggestions on either.

Well, the board met today and Voted to name the Zip line Black Mountain Thunder. They have cleared almost 9000 ft. of rite of way for the lines. Was told the highest line will be 350 ft. High, that should be a site and a Kodak moment if you have a free hand or helmet cam.
